Things you need to
consider when shopping for a pool!
You need to
consider many aspects when shopping for a pool such as your budget,
including the cost of the pool itself, and maintenance; the amount
of time you are able to spend on maintaining your pool; the size of
your lot; and the climate in your area, as well as the area of the
country in which you reside.
You need to determine the actual price of the pool, including the
landscaping around it, the deck and any other features you would
like; the amount of time it takes to install the pool and when you
can swim in it; find out the details of the warranty; inquire about
maintenance of the pool, such as how much time it will take to clean
it and what type of chemicals you need.
To determine the amount of water needed, start with a basic
measurement for the weight and volume measurement of water: one
gallon weighs 8.3 pounds; one cubic foot weighs 62.4 pounds; one
cubic foot of water has 7.5 gallons.
The following are formulas for different pool shapes, including
rectangular, circular and oval.
The rectangular pool formula is the length x width x average depth x
7.5 = total gallons of water.
For a circular pool take the diameter x diameter x average depth x
5.9 = gallons of water.
The oval pool formula would be the length x width x average depth x
5.9 = gallons of water.
You also need to consider the shape and type of pool that is best
for your family and fits best in your backyard setting. There are
many types of pools from which to choose, such as above-ground and
in ground pools of aluminum, concrete, fiberglass and steel.
Conduct your own research to determine which type is best for you.
The following information may help you decide which type of pool
best suits your needs and the needs of your family.
